How to clean rat/mouse urine from sheet metal parts ?
 

HOW TO CLEAN RAT/MOUSE URINE FROM SHEET METAL PARTS ? Hi guys,
some mice or rats got into my car garage, and peed on some sheet metal parts. Any really know how to remove this and if it has a way to be neutralized so i can primer over it with out any problems when i paint it ? i saw using some bleach water can help, but anyone know how to actually get it cleaned off?

Try using baking soda and water. a saturated solution. and scrub to well. then rinse with water and dry. You'll know there's acid there as the solution will turn blue.

There was a story written by Rodger kaulfman and was published in the model A news years ago it was a two or three part story about buying a two door that had been sitting in a garage for a long time and the struggles with getting rid of the large amount of mouse pee and how he was able to get rid of the smell .Rodger and his wife traveled on a many state tours enduring some very high temperatures days, in the states they traveled through reportedly the car did not smell .His process may work well for you if you could find the articles written by Rodger Kaufman .I hope this help ,but it was also a great read best of luck Joe!
