Cowl Band removal

Gents,

What is the best way to remove a cowl band on a 30 coupe?

There are nuts on each end of the band . They're kinda tucked away at cowl bottom corner. Not the easiest nuts to get to. Once off, the band should come loose.

There is no need to pull a panel - the nut holding the cowl band is under the hood; it's not in a very accessible location but feel inside the cowl just beside the clutch pedal and you'll find it.

Here's a couple pictures of where the nut is hiding. It's very awkward to get to. This is the one on the drivers side. My phone was up against the floor. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...6b7e13df9a.jpg

This one is pulled back a little so you can see the triangle that's formed from the firewall, frame and the floor. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e94bcbddf8.jpg

Thank you to the other members for letting you know that there was no reason to pull your inner panel. I've been gone from the computer. I hope you got to read their posts and see the pic's before you started pulling anything loose.

Few shots of Kroil and let it sit for a while, 1/4 inch drive sockets may make access a bit easier. Bob

be aware that some early 30s had some bolts holding the side of the band to the firewall ,in addition to the bottom ones
