I'm back. New Model A project

3 Attachment(s)
After playing around with Ts and tractors for a couple of years, I am back to a Model A project. This truck is in good condition, just removing the drywall screws, phillips heads, and self tapping screws from the last guys "restoration". I am taking it down to the frame and going correct from the concrete up. Should be an easy project this time. Trying to decide a good color. Any ideas?

Glade to have you back. Looks like it will be a fun project. 21inch wheels look a bit funny on a 31. Is that horn mounted to the radiator shell..

I have the 19" wheels, just have to get some tires and tubes. Yes, the horn is screwed to the shell. Many things like this on this truck. It runs and drives well, I guess the old fellow didn't care about being correct.

What a great start for a project. Here is a pickup in our club that is a great color.

I like the other projects I see in the garage.

Remember there were about 38 standard colors for the 1931 Model A pickup. See the Paint and Restoration Guidelines.

It looks like a custom made bed. Is the cab back panel made from a sedan ? They did a good job, the best that I can tell from the picture. Could just run it as is.

From the looks of your barn resident, Farmall Red might work with an "IH Sales & Service" hand painted in period correct lettering on the doors. I would love a pickup in that theme, except mine would be Persian Orange with the Allis Chalmers logo.

I also agree with John, you can't go wrong with Green and black tires and wheels. It would be nice to see a line up of pickups in different colors, because the blues and maroons are also beautiful colors.
