I used a 1.6 ohm ballast resistor that I bought on ebay

NAPA can supply a 1.80 ohm resistor, part number ICR35. OR an ICR13 1.82 ohms. ICR stands for IGNITION COIL RESISTOR. Regards, Kevin.
