1935 wing window?

Is there any trick to keeping the wing windows tight on a '35 roadster or phaeton?

Looks like the previous owner had them on with JB weld... the right side fell out in transport and I would like to reattach it. I see why the design changed in '36!

Thanks for any help
Zach

Re: 1935 wing window?

I think '35 was last year using same general parts as '32 and Model A...?
If so, look at the finger things that grip the glass and the molded rubber pads; original metal parts are hollow, and the rubber has a ridge that fits into said hollow. Repro is generally solid metal, and rubber pad is either molded without ridge or ridge is razored away to allow assembly. Original grips, repro not so much.
A&L parts repros are apparently the good ones if you don't have originals available.

A&L is hard to get to...no computer...but I believe Bratton's carries their stuff, and the guy on the phone there actually knows what he's talking about.
When you have a problem, "Round up the usual suspects." That's the reproduction parts, of course!
