Mc Cord radiator

I have been working on a 1929 chassis with a McCord R-5000 radiator. Can anybody give me information about this radiator? It seems to be clear with no obstructions. I guess my question is whether this is a decent radiator or should I look at replacing it.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Mc Cord radiator

McCord goes back to the early 20th Century ( pre WW I ) and was an original supplier of Model A radiators... you could have an original radiator.

If you can post some photos, you might get some more feedback...

If it works, use it.

Re: Mc Cord radiator

Frank is correct on the fact it could be original. I have an original McCord radiator, that at some point I am going to have recored. Also there is evidence that McCord may have supplied the original head gaskets for the model A. I never pass up a NORS McCord head gasket at swapmeets, espacailly the early part #'d one like is shown on Vince's website. Rod
