Electric speedometer Is anyone using an electric speedometer that requires a speed sensor as opposed to GPS for calibrating? If so how did you go about this? Looking at an Autometer product.

Re: Electric speedometer They make an electronic speedometer that uses a magnetic pickup on wheel, but they too need to be calibrated. I used one on a tractor. Otherwise run a speedometer APP on your phone and once you figure out how much your car speedometer is off, you're all set.

Re: Electric speedometer Were do you place the pickup if you use a bicycle speedometer?
|
Re: Electric speedometer On one of the spokes, make a bracket to mount the pickup. Some of the bicycle speedos are susceptible to RFI from the engine.

Re: Electric speedometer Thanks, for the input. I will look into the bicycle speedometer idea.
