F series grille guard ID help please

I have a F series grille guard that I would like to positively ID the years this was made to fit. I have not seen another one like it. I refuse to call it rare, as I don't know if it truly is. Something else I would like to know if it is sought after or desirable to have on the correct era of pickup. So the best place, in my opinion, to find out is right here. Sound off please.

I just sold a Nos one. It is for a 1948-52 Ford truck.
