I've seen plenty of Ford cars/trucks w/Chevy engines in them. but never a Chevy w/a flathead in them. Have you?

Once I saw a beater '55 Chev at a Thursday Nite show, sporting a great little flathead with finned aluminum heads and two '94's.

A flathead would pull one of those flimsy Chevys half in two. LOL

Why waste a perfectly good flathead?

Re: just a thought

You should call it a compliment to flatheads when seeing one in a Chevy, instead of bad mouthing other brands. We all have our preferences, but I like them all.
Personally I think Chevy hit a homerun with the small block V8 in 1955. Ever seen a more popular V8 ? Or one that lasted in production so long without major design changes ?

Don't recall where I saw the pic, but I'm sure many have seen it...an early Corvette with a FH in it.

When you say a chevy, what year? I like 37 chevys and would rather see one with a GMC as in a 270 or a 302. Or even a 261 ........but most of you wouldnt know what im talking about. As for a chevy look close at a 331 caddilac and you can see were the 265 sorta came from. As for corvette chevette that is sorta the same car to me.

Wasn't there a guy who ran a flathead in a Camaro at Bonneville a few years ago? Maybe that's why the GODS decided to rainout all subsequent Bonneville meets?

saw a 2006 Corvette with a flathead. Was a dispute with a dealership over a motor that seized up. GM finally gave him a new motor, which sitting under his work bench, when he took the flatty powered vette in for an oil change. . Said he is having to much fun with the vette with the flatty. His other car is a new Lincoln so he can afford it.

Two years ago at Bonneville Speed Week there was an '88 or so Fox Body Mustang coupe with a blown flathead. I never did hear a speed on it and I cannot find the picture I took.........
