Re: Ed Pitts and Quick Gene Thanks Ron. Found some interesting rod bearings that were in my 37 engine that I replaced 25 years ago. The bearing material appears to be bronze with no babbit materal on them at all. Still has the 20 over printing on them. Could these have been made during the war when materials were scarce? How would they compare to the later bearings for wear?

In the top right corner of the page (any page on the forum) you will see your user name and just below that the words "Private Messages." Open that by clicking on "Private Messages." Then select the message you want to read and click on it to open it up. Once open and you want to reply, just below the message are two blue buttons. "Forward" and "Reply" Just click which one you want (very similar to replying to a post on the forum). It will open a box in which you can type your reply. After you are done, scroll down below the message and you will click the "Submit Reply" button. That's it, the message is sent! Good luck. |
