I'll take two, and won't haggle over the original price. I am talking about a "cash" sale here. I will have to cash in my 401K to get the cash...but! Chap

My Dad ordered mine about 79 years ago . . . guess he didn't pay the bill . . . never arrived.

Great video - thanks for posting it.

It appears that the gal is having trouble shifting (about the 9'43" mark on the video). Looks like she finally gave up and drove in neutral !
Wonder how that got by the editors ?

I like the shot of the gal closing the glove box door and it didn't latch on the first attempt. It did on the second. Here I thought I was just doing something wrong but that was a 1940 quirk too.

Every year the Ford dealer would drive the new years model to my grandfather place. My grandfather would always say he didn't need the new model, his one year old existing car was doing fine. The dealer would insist that he should just drive it for a week or two and let him know what he thinks of it. My grandfather ended up purchasing the new model every time!

That salesman knew what he was doing!

My Dad had a 40 Chevy that he used all thru the war, after the war he sold it for more than he paid for it. I know the engine was rebuilt once?? that's the car I got my drivers License in.

A guy could fly high mighty and handsome with one of those cars. They were the cat's meow for sure.

I'm wondering how they got more leg room and seating width, between '39 & '40?

And look at the rear leg room on the tudor, much more than my Crown Vic, fordor!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, this video makes me feel better about my '40 glove box that works like junk.

Going by the wiper speed not changing I'd say the car wasn't even moving.

Notice that the car in the movie had "push in and up" ashtrays that didn't have knobs.
Guess they were added later.
Crestliner wheel looks like a Kaiser/Fraser logo.
