Re: 39 lincoln zephyr Try nadaguides.com for values. Or probably Hagerty.

Re: 39 lincoln zephyr There was one very very similar to this on the EFV8 Club page a few months back, Maroon, all Original, Very Nice car. It was down in the Orlando FL area. I really wanted it to have and show next to our "original" 39 Mercury, Unfortunately my wallet wasn't liking that Idea at ALL, not that it wasn't a fair price.....IF memory serves me correct the "Asking" was $16,0000.

Re: 39 lincoln zephyr Some Lincolns are worth more than others depending on the model and body style. The Zephyr Fordor Sedan will be the lowest price model but they will still be in the $40K price range or more if in good drivable condition. Likely a lot more if in top shape. One in restorable shape will drop down depending on condition. A complete restorable car would likely be in the price range less than $20K.
The last of the Lincoln model K cars was 1939 and they are a rare car and even more valuable. |
Re: 39 lincoln zephyr I hate to say it, but 4 doors are not in demand at all...the swoopy 3 windows and 100 point restored ragtops have decent resale...Look on ebay, offer low..Nice conv LZ's sell in the 40s...sedans more 10-15

Re: 39 lincoln zephyr I’d say no more than $25K. If and when something goes south on the V12 you’ll be in it way over $30K , nothing is cheap or reasonable for that V12. Just to replace the vulcanized engine, transmission and suspension rubber mounts will cost over a thousand dollars. I’ll bet those original 82 year old mounts are probably in need of replacement by now.

Re: 39 lincoln zephyr Lincolns are hard to find parts for. The LZs had a lot of unit body contruction so look carefully for corrosion. Fortunately, most owners generally kept them enclosed or out of the rain but they can sure go back to nature without good storage & maintenance.
Price a coupe, convertible coupe or convertible sedan in good condition and it will scare you. One thing I've always noticed is that folks that buy any of the early Lincoln cars generally aren't worried about the price. That was true when they were new and it's still true now that they are antiques. |
Re: 39 lincoln zephyr That seems reasonable if it is in good shape. You might even offer a little less. I think the 39 Zephyr is is the most attractive of what are a line of most attractive cars. There is a Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club. Go to their site www.lzoc.org. There are always cars listed for sale there, although those listings tend to be out of date.

Re: 39 lincoln zephyr I believe AACA has a Licncoln forum where you might be able to check prices. That maroon 4 door was a beauty, and darn slick for a fordor.

Re: 39 lincoln zephyr I always tell customers contemplating a 12 cylinder car---'a 12 cylinder car is to prove to your neighbors that you have made it in life and it doesn't matter how much it costs to fix your car'
