1930-31 Original Radiator

City: Davenport
State: Iowa
Price: 125

For Sale: 1930-31 radiator, which I believe to be original. HEAVY, the way original radiators are supposed to be. Nice looking core with minor fin damage in two places in front only (see photos), but there doesn't appear to be any tube damage in these small areas. No fin damage at all on backside. The car’s owner says the core leaks at the bottom. We have no decent radiator repair shops around here to fix the leak, so the owner opted for a new radiator. It had cooled his freshly rebuilt higher horsepower engine very well, even while parked in a garage and running at various speeds in the summer heat for 15 minutes at a time to break in the engine. The leak developed weeks afterwards. Top tank still has baffle inside, which is usually missing. All three necks are nice and solid, not crimped. Drain tube still present. One wiring harness retaining hook remains. If you have access to a knowledgeable old school radiator shop, this would be an excellent candidate for a successful repair.
New radiators cost between $575 and $795 plus expensive “packaging, handling and shipping” costs. We’ll sell this original radiator at a fraction of that @ $125 plus ACTUAL shipping costs within USA. Shipped in a radiator-specific heavy-duty protective box. You’ll save between $475 and $650 going this route for an excellent cooling original radiator. Ideal for the driver/touring Model A, especially with a stone guard, but for not a show car. I will ship this radiator ONLY via UPS. Fed-Ex would just lose it. Will deliver free within 50 mile radius of the Quad Cities (Iowa-Illinois).
