Brass/bronze shackle bushings A guy in Australia is looking for brass/bronze front and rear shackle bushings for his 1928 AR. Need suggestions on where to get them. I suggested he source the material and make them but he is not setup to do so. I think I can rework 1909-1913 brass rear T bushings for the fronts but they would be too short for the rear. (have to do more checking)
Thanks |
Re: Brass/bronze shackle bushings The guy that makes new springs uses brass, perhaps he has some to sell too

Re: Brass/bronze shackle bushings Did some checking, yes we could use the front bushings from the T and would have to double up. I contacted Travis at A-springs and then looked at his web site. He sells the bushings. I need to call Travis again and check some things including if he ships over seas. Then have to contact Phillip and see what he wants to do.
Thank everyone. |
Re: Brass/bronze shackle bushings Isnt there some form of a fastenal or McMaster carr in AU? The bushings are nothing special so any ol brass/bronze bushing will work and come in a near infinite sizes.
