Interior Rear View Mirror 29 Roadster
 

Have 29 Model A Roadster & removed the interior rear view mirror bolted to top of windshield frame. Don't know if this was stock or not.

(1) Would this have been stock attachment of mirror?

(2) Murphy's law, misplaced threaded bolts & can't determine size of bolt needed. Anyone know what it would have been?

Welcome any suggestions for reattaching mirror where it was. Thanks.

An inside mirror is stock, but we need to see your's to see if it's an original part.

BTW, the Judging Standards is one of the "must have" books for all owners, and it has excellent pictures of the mirrors.

No suggestions for reattaching the mirror, but this one I do have: I keep a box of Zip-Loc bags and a sharpie pen on my work bench. Every time I take something apart, the pieces and parts go into the bag and are marked with what's in the bag with a sharpie pen.

There were two styles used in 28-29 that I'm aware of. The early version has a rounded bracket that fits over the windshield frame and is attached by 2 screws which go through both the bracket and the w/s frame. The later version has a clamp type bracket that fits on the top of the frame and is tightened up with 2 screws.
