putting christmas lights on our aa

We are putting our AA in our Christmas parade -- it is in the evening -- I need to put on christmas lights and make them work -- the truck is 6 volt so an inverter will not work -- any ideas? I was thinking about putting a couple of 12 volt deep cycle batteries in the back and run the invertor that way .. should work but for how long ????? ...... any body have any ideas???

Why don't you borrow or rent a small quiet generator?

I use a jump pack that has an inverter built in, never had a problem running led christmas lights and I put a lot on the car for the night time christmas parade. I use the large spring loaded paper clips and put felt where I clip to the fenders and running board edges. I out line the car with lights and even put the blinking ones on where you have different choices for styles of blinking. I also have a stereo in my car where I hook up my ipod with christmas music and my speakers are the old drive inn movie speakers that i installed modern spearkers inside and hook them on the windows facing out so the crowd can hear the music. hope this helps

1 Attachment(s)
I use BATTERY operated LEDS about the size of eanuts, and some shaped like stars, etc. Walmart, ACE, Target all carry them for $6 for ten feet.
