1928-29 Qual radiatorcap breakdown
 

Hi folks I have a 1928-29 qual radiator cap and when i got it ,it was in peaces ,i have the bits and not sure how it works ,If I screw the cap onto the radiator,then I can not get the Qual to tightenup onto the screw part of the cap.
would anyone have a pic of the bits of the cap and which way the parts go.

Make sure you have the correct year cap. They are different. Do you have the two brass tabs and cap screws inside the cap?

Hi the only thing I have is the quail and the cap,looking from the bottom of the cap there is i screw bolt that goes through the cap and into the bottom of the quail. If some one had a pic off the underside i would be able to see if anything is missing. .Cheers Gerry (NZ)

Sounds like yours is cobbled together with a regular cap and the bird with a bolt into the thermostat hole of the bird.
