Seen her in person at Greenfield Village in Dearborn.
It's a great place to see.

Re: 15 Millionth Model T

Jim, Thanks so much for the heads-up.

The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village AND the Benson Ford Research Center melt my heart to think of how cool they are. When I can return I'd really like to try hard to get there!

During the 2018 V-8 Club event in Dearborn we were allowed access to collections area of the BFRC Library (scenes from their 'stacks' in this video), and to every corner of the Village. So I certainly gazed at the subject vehicle with profound reverence.

MOST SPECIALLY we could drive our V-8's around the streets featured in shots here.

One highlight of my trip was to stop in the 'shed' where the mule T's who do daily rides were serviced. To look at their spark plug collection/rotation was jaw-dropping!

Good video, and the HVA really has a good eyeball for what a cool car is.

I too really enjoyed the video. I have never owned a T, but have driven a couple and could really see one in my future. Thanks so much for posting this. I have been to THE museum and The Village twice. Could well be the best trips I ever took. (I can only take so many swimming pools and have never tried golf. Just find me some really cool old mechanical stuff, if it's Ford stuff, so much the better) Amen.

Notice the color. It's not black!!

Re: 15 Millionth Model T

First few years of production and the last few years they had color options.
It was said the japan black dried quicker hence Henry's liking of that color.

I just read an article on the 50 worst cars ever produced. Written by someone named Oliver Hamilton.
He put the model T on this list. Obviously he needs watch this video, oh and do a little more research as he wrote “it had no windshield”

Ralph I agree, and I've noticed more and more as I get older, there are a lot of people with a lot of 'opinions' that really don't know what in the heck they are talking about especially about cars. For that guy to list the Model T in his 'Top 50 Worst Cars' he doesn't know jack. That is just plain wrong.

Jim, thank you for posting this. It's a great summary of the "T's" history. I have a '27 T hot rod coupe...not chopped....and picked up on the fact that T production stopped on 5/26/1927.....I always wondered!!

It is hard to believe that this 1909 Model T Ford came from the factory in this colour? This one was on display at the Piquette Model T Factory in Detroit.

That's a great museum. Birth place of the "T"
I highly recommend seeing it.
