'48 F-1 front end
 

I have a 4 bar and AirRide on the rear and i want to put the same thing on the front end. It has a 3" mooredrop axle with AirRide suspension and there isn't really enough room on the left side because of the steering bars. The inside of the frame is boxed in and there is a lot of room has anyone ever seen or heard of putting the 4 bar on the inside of the frame? It should still have plenty of width to hold the axle in place as the bars would only be a couple of inches closer to the center line of the frame. Back in 1952 when the old man Moore was just starting out i got the axle for my '34 sedan and now all of these years late the axle in this pickup came from the same shop and the old man was just retiring at that time. I talked to him in person both times and B.S.ed with him for a while. I don't remember if the shop was his or his father's at the earlier time?

There is at least one site dictated to modified F1/F100 pickups I believe.

This site is for traditional restorations. The HAMB is more Hot Rod/modified orientate, but has a cut off in time prior to modern street rods. There are a lot of us here on the Barn (and also on the HAMB) that live in both worlds, I have traditional Hot Rods and more modern Street Rods, but these sites are dedicated to traditional restorations and modified vehicles. There are other sites dedicated to Street Rods. I'm sure you are welcome to post here, but you might find better expertise on other sites.

Well put JSeery, I might have been a little thin skined with the reply i maybe shouldn't have posted on this site? I do have a stock '30 A coupe, a stock and restored '33 Ford sedan, a hot rod '34 Ford sedan, a hot rod '54 F100 and a hot rod '32 full fendered roadster, so i also can live in both worlds. I get on and off of sites like this and I forget exactly what they each are about. I also have a stock '55 BellAir Hd Tp and a stock '58 Corvette.
However the love of my life is a '48 F-1 that i have owned since '62 and am the second owner. It has about 75,000 miles but is now a hot rod, with a loaded flathead, EFI engine.
