What does this go to?? 3 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know what this air breather / cleaner properly goes to? It came with my 1934 Ford but I can find no other photo of one like this listed with any 1934 Fords.
Thank you. |
Re: What does this go to?? It's the accessory heavy duty/severe service air filter offered by Ford. I once had one on my '37. I got rid of it because it took up too much room under the hood and made servicing the engine difficult....

Re: What does this go to?? We have one on each of our 35's, both are foreign built cars. Australia & Germany. You tend to see them, here in the states, on commercial vehicles but not to say you could not get them for the standard line-up.

Re: What does this go to?? Ok, thank you for telling me.
I really do not want to toss this in a dumpster, but does anyone need it before I do toss it out? Cost would be for S&H. |

Re: What does this go to?? Yes, many of the V8 cars and trucks built in Australia 1933-36 had these fitted as standard equipment. It is a full air bath air cleaner and they work very well. Yours is a very nice item with original decal on it. A nice accessory to keep or fit on your car. It mounts on the cylinder head studs and does take up considerable room. My 34 V8 coupe had one fitted from new and it was a city doctors car. Some say they were only fitted on country area delivered cars because of the dusty country dirt roads. Regards, Kevin.

Re: What does this go to?? I've seen several of these on Canadian built cars. My '34 sedan had one but, like petehoovie, I removed it because it took up so much room and I don't think it's necessary unless you're driving in really dusty conditions. Doug.
