Brake Cable Lube What are you guys using to lube 37 & 38 brake cables?
Thanks |
Re: Brake Cable Lube I have a clamp on tool that has rubber seals for the cable and housing so a grease gun can be used to force in lube.
On other cables I have taped a plastic bag around the outer housing and filled it with gear oil, moving the cable will help the oil move the length of the cable ---if you keep filling the bag and moving the cable till clean oil comes out the other end it will wash out the crud---it is messy but once done will last a long time. |
