6 volt heater motor amperage ?

I know all motors are different, but anyone have an average of the amps an old accessory heater fan would pull?
I'm using voltage reducers and need to find amps to wire them properly.
Thanks
To clarify, the fan motor is 6 volt, and I'm running 12 volt.

Hook an amp meter on one leg of yours and stick it on a 6 volt battery, or run it off a battery charger on 6 volt with a good meter in it not one of those led type charging indicaters.

8 to 10 amps for a '49-'51 car

I don't have an amp meter handy, that would be ideal.
If I put two voltage reducers in parallel it will handle 8 amps.
Should be enough, it's small as far as heaters go, Im guessing this heater is a 1930's from the Art Deco styling. I've got one out of an early fifties truck that's almost twice as big.
