Is there Difference between Champion 3X Spark plugs
 

Hi All

IS there a difference between the Champion 3X plugs sold by Snyders, Macs, Brattons and the 3X plugs sold by O'Reilys (Champion part #429) ?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think so, as there is only the modern repro 3X being sold now.
It's too bad the thick hex for 28-9 isn't being made.:mad:

The 3 now has a flat top, and the knurling is also wrong.

Can anyone post a picture of the different types of 3's, including the original and current versions?

The diamond knurling pattern stands OUT on original plugs and they go IN on the repro 3X, plus the knurling doesn't run all the way down on the modern 3X.

It's a real shame that they went through so much to duplicate the plug and missed on a few details.
