Rear Seat

I am having a problem reinstalling the rear seat in my 48 coupe. The upper part went in just fine but the bottom part just want install. I have tried different angles and then pushing back, no dice. The seats were out of car for over a year, could they loose shape at the rear portion of the bench, that seems to be where most of the resistance is pushing in, any suggestions ?

I don't how similar the seats are, but in my convertible I have to push real hard back and down at the same time on the frame at the bottom to get it down.

there is a sheet metal clip attached to the floor. coat the angled part with grease and push back and down HARD.

I have to push the one in my ‘50 REALLY HARD at the bottom right where the clip on the floor is. It can be a bitch to re-install mine.....Mark

I'd be reluctant to coat anything with grease that's near the upholstery.
