Radial Tires I see that Coker has come out with radial tires to fit 17 inch and larger diameter wheels. Have any of you used radial tires on your 19 - 21 inch wheels and what is your experience with them? I'm contemplating buying a set for the 17 inch wheels on my '34....

Re: Radial Tires I have Excelsior radials on my 30 TS. They work well. I think Coker is supplying radials that look more like original tires, which the judges and purists will like better.

Re: Radial Tires There have been a couple of threads about this. From memory, it seems the 21" radials are not the best fit on a Model A rim and the 5.00 X 19 tyres aren't much good. The 5.50 X 10 seem to be OK. I hope someone will post a link to those threads.

Re: Radial Tires I need to replace 5 tires and am looking at the Coker radial 19x4.75
Any one with any experience running these? Also like to know if the wider profile will fit the spare tire well. These: Excelsior Stahl Sport Radial | 700R19 Thanks |
Re: Radial Tires I have the Excelsior 550R19 tires on my pickup. They fit the spare wheel well much better than the 475-19 Firestone I had previously.

i will type this in all caps as i just had shoulder replacement and can't use my left arm. My 30 ccpu has them on and so far are great. Have run them on the freeway. |
Re: Radial Tires I have the 550x19's on my '30 coupe.
They are EXCELLENT! Customer service was even better. Coker Tire!!! |
Re: Radial Tires The new American Classic Coker’s are the cat’s meow. They fit the wheel well just fine on my 31. Only 1500 miles so far. Day and night difference. I won’t go back to the bias Goodyear’s or Firestone’s.

Re: Radial Tires Hello,
I just bought 5 new 19 inch Coker whitewall radial tires for my 1930 Model A and I can't wait to get them on the car. They look just like the original bias ply whitewall tires and they are a full six ply tire. I talked to the local motorcycle shop and they said they would be able to change the tires on their tire machine just like a motorcycle tire. Quick and easy. I almost bought a set of blackwall tires last year, but waited for the new whitewall version. |
Re: Radial Tires Thanks for the quick reply’s on the 550.
Any confirmation of them nesting in the spare tire well? Motorcycle shop to change them. Totally makes sense. Anyone else do that? |
Re: Radial Tires I have the 19" whitewall radials and they are great.
Although I do like the look of the Firestone whitewalls over the Coker radial whitewalls. |

Do you have a pic of the 550 on your truck? Love to see Way more bucks then the classic coker radial, so want to be certain |
Re: Radial Tires Can any of you that have changed to new tires with white walls speak to how easy or hard they are to clean?
|
Re: Radial Tires How much are these running for 475 19’s? I think I’ll go black wall, I guess I’m a purest.
|
Re: Radial Tires $206 for the American Classic black wall.

Re: Radial Tires put coker radials on my 1930 model a fordor, other bias tires cannot compare to these radials

Another question, my 30pu has a headliner in it. Is that original. What is yours, headliner or wood slats only? |
