Water pump exchange?
 

I have a late -23 with high radiator, Berg's waterpump, round tubes in radiator.
Is it possible to run the 1926-27 water neck/pump? Will the angle of inlet and outlet be the same? Any pros and cons? Will the higher fan position be make any advance?

Ford didn't supply water pumps for any T's. If you have combination water outlet with water pump, that is an aftermarket product sold by water pump mfg.

If you want to use the '26-'27 style upper outlet/combination fan , then that will fit fine. Its made for the high radiator, and high head. The only thing to change would be the fan belt, esp if you continue to fit the Berg's brand water pump, as a longer belt will be required.

Thanks tmodelman, You always have informative answers for my stupid questions.
I replaced my fan shaft and bushings earlier. Had to use the 1909-20 ones beacause i have the rivited fanblade to hub. Can i use my fan assembly in the -26-27 outlet or do i have to buy the later fan/hub/shaft/bushing.
Are the outer diameter the same on all three shafts thats avaliable? I assume that my shaft are too short, what do You think?

Tom, sounds like all you need is a correct water outlet on the block and a short belt and you are good to go without all those pump worries.
I have tried pumps on cars that run hot and they still run hot with the pump. The sure way to have a car run cool is a good radiator, clean block not plugged with minerals or other trash, and a good fan. Incorrect spark setting and incorrect fuel mixture settings can also cause a marginal cooling system to overheat.

You can't use the '09-'20 shaft, pulley or fan blade with the Improved Car '26-'27 outlet mounted fan assembly, you must use the improved parts.
