Re: not your average coupe Good luck on your run at Bonneville. Worked with an engineer at Tucson who was running a streamliner car powered by a Kawasaki 1100cc engine. Was getting over 200 mph.

Re: not your average coupe Good luck Derek, keep us posted.

Re: not your average coupe History: it is salt brine. good for icy roads, bad for all cars...….
|
Re: not your average coupe Is the engine painted red? That ALWAYS makes 'em go faster.

Re: not your average coupe Awesome car. Does the windshield visor catch much wind at speed? I have seen "vented" visors on other Hot Rods.
Good luck on your Speed Runs. |
Re: not your average coupe I don't understand...…
The object of running at Bonneville is to go fast. The car is currently running a 4:11 rear end ratio.... With a modified high horsepower engine, (relatively speaking), why is he not running a 3:27 ratio or at least a 3:54 ratio?? |
Re: not your average coupe Nice ride good luck:cool:

Re: not your average coupe Good Luck Derek
I'm guessing you have an overdrive with that 4:11 rear end 650Holly ? Maybe you intend to use all of that 8000 RPM tach Richard Anaheim CA |
Re: not your average coupe No overdrive, record held by Tonya 97.1, at 6000 ? maybe it would be a record MAYBE,
No racing till Tuesday & only 1 course open plus rookie we are on a short run with 1 mile run up, the weather gods may decide yet, I will post what ever happens long as don,t upset any one ???be nice to me , |
Re: not your average coupe Hey everyone, let's cut him some slack about posting here. I want to hear his story. Man, I wish I was there to see him run. Thanks in advance.
Good Day. |
Re: not your average coupe Dave all good here, this a great site, least it aint a ratty rod, no racing till Tuesday courses too wet , had lots of model A guys today , one is an expert on carbs ,listen to my engine , then took a tire valve pulled it apart, got the tiny spring out, cut it in 1/2 & put each piece in to jam the two pump valves , now will be hard to start but ran much sweeter, amazing the help we get just cause its a Model A, so ill keep posting what ever happens, The dream is to crack the 100 with stock body,A-B engine flat head, A trans, A rear, non turbo , Several A-B block engines running, the tricks those guys learn may help to preserve our original A,s Certainly created lots of interest,

Re: not your average coupe Lots of rain the past two days so I hope it dries up. The rain god's haven't been nice the last couple of years out on the salt.
