Early V8 Garage, Rich Lacy Master cyl. Conv. Kit

Hi All, has anyone done the ‘Early V8 Garage’ juice brake conversion on a ‘35? I am in the process of installing / converting to hydraulic brakes. I have all the @ the wheels conversion done & ready to install the Early V8 Garage/ Rich Lacy’s Master cylinder kit. I bought the kit several yrs ago then due to medical issues couldn’t get installed til now. I lost the instruction sheets. Been trying to contact Rich unsuccessfully & was hoping some one on FB had them.

Well I have the instructions for 33&34 that I can scan and post but I don’t think it will help you.

You might try to contact Dennis Lacy on Instagram, he is pretty active over there. Try sending him a DM (direct message) to request the instructions at Dennis_lacy_earlyv8garage.

Most EV8 Garage kits are straight forward and easy to install.
All components use existing holes in the stock frame and have all necessary hardware and bits and pieces included.
I've installed 5 or 6 1932 kits, some in our cars plus several friends cars.
I usually lay the parts out and it's pretty obvious where everything goes.
It's a busy shop but they will get back to you.

The ‘32 -34 kits r significantly different. I have a pic Rich sent from when I originally ordered. I’m a bit dyslexic so it’s hard for me to know what I’m looking at without more of the ‘35 frame shown. I will continue to try it contact Rich. I’ve EM’d & called a few times w no reply. Is he on the FB for DM?Attachment 515507

I hear a lot about guys using his products but there must be a secret hand shake or code to contact his business to buy his parts?

Why would you want it? It's obvious that they're too busy (or perhaps too arrogant) to return calls. If it were something difficult, I might be able to see it, but hydraulic brakes on a '35? I put a set on my '36 when I was 17 in 1959. They worked great

Sometimes you have to stand on your own two feet.

.

This has gotten ridiculous! Folks have been complaining about the inability to make reasonable contact with ANYONE at The "Early V8 Garage" for months now, if not longer. Richard and Dennis need to get off of their respective 'high horses', come down to earth and find a way for PAYING CUSTOMERS (the people that have made Early V8 Garage so seemingly successful) to make reasonable contact with the folks running the show at The Early V8 Garage. Success can only last so long if you don't answer the phone! Shame on you guys! You guys are one of the relative few outfits that has been able to maintain a "squeaky-clean" and well-deserved reputation through all of the years that are finding some of these old Ford specialty outfits either beginning to shut-down, or in your case ..... CEASE TO GIVE A RAT'S BUTT about customer communications. C'mon guys, what the heck, over?

Coop

This is what I understand. Richard is pretty much retired and his son, Dennis, is running the business. Judging from Dennis' Instragram posts, he's got his hands full. You may have better luck contacting Dennis through his Instrgram account which is dennis_lacy_earlyV8garage

Dennis may be on the Hamb, I recall him working on a shop truck a few years ago.

Hi Tim, thx for the input, Zeke 3 said same in reply 3 &. I sent message on Instagram 2 days ago, sent EM, Left voice mail on phone all 2 or more days ago. No reply’s to any. I’m inclined to agree with Coop’s message to Early V8 Garage! If he’s that busy he must b doing well & needs to hire help or their Reputation will go to hell!

I’m not defending them and I was trying to be nice. Dennis seems to be a one man show and I agree he needs to hire help before the phone stops ringing due to treating customers like they are treating you.

Re: Early V8 Garage, Rich Lacy Master cyl. Conv. Kit

Being a one man shop is never an excuse. I’ve been a one man shop for over 18 years and I always respond to phone calls and emails within 24 hours, if not sooner, and I’m extremely busy. It’s strange to me that there are some shop owners that treat customers, or potential customers, this way. However, maybe there’s more to it than we know.
