Crank spring lube hole.

I have the good habit of when I have to look up something in the car manuals, I always read something else nearby. The subject action caught my eye.
my mental oil routine does not include this item...

Turns out I have the front storage box which blocks access to the small hole in the crank bearing mount. I'll get after that soon with the special spring lube.

Re: Crank spring lube hole.

You should be able to access it from the engine side below the radiator..........
Paul in CT Happy New Year to you and yours ! !

Re: Crank spring lube hole.

Hi again Clem. That hole in the hand-crank bearing lets oil lubricate the auxiliary flat spring which rubs against the front crossmember.
