rear window removal on Tudor Hi Gents,
I have read the previous threads I could find here for removal and install. I am at a lost as to how to get that glass out of the body. The side channels are removed and the glass is loose in the remaining side area, but going up doesn't help and going down doesn't seem to allow that glass to get out of the body. I read two threads that explain that it comes out at the bottom. Is that so? I can break it further to get it out but I would like to see how it should come out to reverse the process of getting it in. Any help is appreciated. Again, does the glass come out at the top or at the bottom? Thanks for a respectful reply. Jack |
Re: rear window removal on Tudor OK, I figured it out. The top garnish trim comes off and out comes the window. I figured they did it simply at the factory.
But two more questions: should the side felt channels be glued in? Mine were but I think they are only to be pressure fit into the body. Second, is the bottom metal channel attached to the window with glue? If so, what type? Thanks |
Re: rear window removal on Tudor Stop! Rear quarter windows are a pain! Get new channels and hardware for the quarter windows, get new cork window setting for the bottom. Make sure the window regulators are in tip top shape.
