Tudor door latch

The in frame door latches on my 30 Tudor are badly worn. Are the nuts that the adjusting screws thread into welded to the back of the body? It looks like any easy replacement as long as I don't need to get into the parts behind the latch screws?

if your talking about the 2 screws that hold the dove tail they can be removed. i forget if the nuts are attached to the wood or if its d-nuts in the body..

Yes, I think on the Tudor the frame latch is a simple L shape - and you can unscrew the holding/adjusting screws , no need to get behind the panel to access any nuts.

Thanx John & Mitch, I like to make thing better but I've been know to take a small problem and make it bigger than it was when I started! The old "while I have this apart I might as well..................."
Just went through that with my sediment bowl, a quick clean out and replace filter , became remove & repair fire wall paint damage that lead to replacing fittings & etc.
