Wow… It’s been a crazy couple of weeks here at the brand spanking new Ford Barn World Headquarters. Acquiring the Ford Barn was not in the cards for this year, but we just couldn’t sit idly buy and let the doors close. We’d simply gotten too much out of the joint in the past to let that happen. A quick phone call to every man’s hero, Shelly, and the deed was done. Now you fellas have to put up with me as I try like hell to fill her huge shoes. The first order of business was to get the Ford Barn into a more modern environment. You are looking at the new threads right now… Ain’t she grand? This was done for two primary reasons: 1. The old Ford Barn data is priceless and we wanted it preserved and searchable. The new format will allow us to search all of the great posts of old and learn from our past… and that’s what we are all about, right? While the old data has not been imported yet, it will be very soon. Hold your horses. 2. The old Ford Barn was also hard to use, full of spam, and just downright impossible to maintain. The new format fixes all of this and gives all of you many more options as far as functionality. Now, I’m sure there is a contingent of you that is resistant to change. I get it. And I’m going to try as hard as I can to ease you into this new format. Take your time, be patient, and you just might be surprised with what we have put together here. A good place to start is with the basic tutorial I put together for you. Click here to check it out. The rest of you are probably pretty familiar with our format. Jump in and have fun… This all for you. To close, I just want to thank Shelly once again for giving me this opportunity. Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn! Thanks for the welcome. Purchased my first t a month ago. Its a fenderless speedster with Hayes wire wheels, Winnfield model M carb, Eisemann magneto, and what I believe to be a Frontenac head. Last tagged in '65, I will be restoring it. The head has me curious. On the top of the head in the center are the letters MF raised in the casting. The serial number begins and ends with the letter S. Can anyone verify that I have a Frontenac model S head? Also need to find good info on the model m carb. Any feedback on the car would be appreciated. Thanks, Danny

Name is Susanne. Was raised arond Model T's - when I was about 11, I got chased to the garage to "help dad" and been hooked ever since (for the past 40 years or so - dont you DARE do the math!!!) - occasionally taking on restorations projects, helping fellow T owners get their babys purring like they did a century or so ago, and generally helping other T Fordaholics keep their babys running for *their* grandkids!! I love the new site, and it works amazing. THANK YOU for making another resource for us T owners, mechanics, and affectianados - my hope is that our babys will continue to thrive for at least another 105 years +, and continue to be the reliable, unkillable vehicle that HF had in mind back in the mid-00's (that's 1900's) when he set his mind to a cheap, durable, reliable, economical (an of course repairable) car! |

Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn! I'm new here too. But so far I like what I see. Picking up my 1st T end of next month. It's a very solid 22 touring car very complete and runs great. Been waiting my whole life for one but business and family always came first. I'm now 39 and just wanted something else to cherish just as much.

I have two companies - window tinting/auto detailing and towing. looking forward to hearing from some of you veterans weighing in on some of my questions cuz i have a ton. These forums are gold for poeple like me. I don't know how many of you are "spinning too many plates", but I'm also co-owner with my 2 cousins of a Cincinnati tree service company (where they live). Really looking forward to doing lots of research here as I am hoping to buy an old Model A in the future, and this forum is essential to having the right info. I've poked around all over so far and it's amazing how much helpful info is here. A little about me-- I'm a roofer in Goodyear AZ and I love old Fords. I've been saving and saving for almost 20 years now in hopes of getting my dream Model A one day. If anybody has any advice for me, in any respect, please don't hesitate to let me know. I own a towing company in Arizona -- www.mesatowingcompany.com -- and I do a lot of towing for the Barrett-Jackson auction every year. I get to see some of the most gorgeous classics out there and it makes me jealous every time! Got my eye on a Model T but still not quite there yet. Looking forward to getting into this forum and seeing a bunch of beauties!
