46-48 style rebuildable coil Sorry, I know I'm supposed to list this on the Swap Meet, which I am, but posting it here as well for more coverage. I need a rebuildable 1946-1948 style ignition coil to keep as a spare. It will be on Apatchy, a driver, so does not need to be show quality. Just decent looking, and rebuildable. Thanks. Let me know quickly 'cause I'm getting old FAST. LOL

Re: 46-48 style rebuildable coil Lawson I too gettin too old and too fast so I stuck a 6vt Napa coil in there and call it a day.
Weird things happen after 70 yrs old. Like how you start the car and the original coil blows the top off huh??????? Napa here we come!! |

Jim. That's Fantastic. I'll be on the look out. I will call you in a day or two and pick your brain on whether or not there's a way you can test a coil to determine if it is going to break down when it gets hot. Good U-Tube video on checking out coils, but no mention about how to test for one that is liable to break down when it gets hot. |
