List a Model A YouTube channel that you watch.

Just wanted to find more interesting Model A YouTuber and help support their channels. Let's try to get a list going. Or has this list been done?

I'll start out with...

Paul Shinn, that we all watch.

Old Car Chronicles, that I just started watching.

Astrawerks youtube videos are top notch in my opinion!!!
While Adrian has recently sold his Ford Model A he has quite a few videos working on it, which I think any Model A enthusiast will enjoy immensely he is German, but he speaks very good English.

I'm a big fan of Steve B's Workshop for generator rebuilding videos and bonus antique firearms content:
https://www.youtube.com/@SwabbieSteve

Mark Clayton has mostly moved to Facebook but he put a nice dyno video up last month (not Model A but they are pre-war):
https://www.youtube.com/@claytoresto

And I do enjoy the Redline Rebuild series, though it is also not Model A, except that one time. But I've learned relevant stuff from watching how they use tools.

Re: List a Model A YouTube channel that you watch.

I always enjoyed Jack Bahm's (RIP) videos and George Bell's Transmission Rebuild series. Others I will visit once in a while.

Not Model A related, but I do watch SuperfastMatt who built a LSC with a 1.0 litre naturely aspired BMW M/C engine and broke the record @ over 270 mph. Learned a lot of stuff I will never use...

Re: List a Model A YouTube channel that you watch.

Honestly Vice Grip Garage / Derek have done a ton of Model A's and putting their videos on the family room TV when the kids are around will actually catch their attention. I think it's because it's most similar to our situation where we are taking an old unrestored one and try to get it running.

EDIT: Oh and shameless plug but if you ever want to know about bicycle stuff then check out my channel "psimet". We also do a podcast at Road Is Dead. Been wanting to do some Model A videos just for the heck of it but I am reluctant to start yet another youtube channel and don't think the bike people will want model a content.

I like P.S. info/tech and DIY to videos. Driving for ice cream ones not so much.
PS - P.S. keep using those adjustable wrenches and pliers we've got an "expert" in our club it drives nuts.

Haha, that's funny. If you are going to use an adjustable wrench, at least use Knipex Plier Wrenches! They take place of most of the open-end wrenches in my tool box.

I have bumped into MANY of the experts who jump my case about using adjustable wrenches and how using them proves I don't know what I'm doing. All it does it motivate me to use/show them even more.

They have finer adjustments and I think the jaws stay parallel. That lump near the pivot may also increase leverage for a tighter grip.

Way more than Channelock or Crensent Wrench. I use Knipex Plier Wrenches all the time I fact, I usually carry the 7" size in my pocket.

Knipex are pretty amazing. Many in my industry use them as their main also in their race set. I believe the big brands like the Tool Trucks sell versions of them now. IIRC Harbor Freight Icon has a shockingly decent version as well.

Just got done watching the new one from David Freiburger with Derek from Vice Grip Garage where they road trip his "new" A. https://youtu.be/Vj4N_bO6KRw?si=hloAP_tgP6RzGwdO

They start it here: https://youtu.be/O3JWfHa9oNU?si=DoY_5nP47-8cORDH

Re: List a Model A YouTube channel that you watch.

I am not a big YouTube guy,

Mostly because I don't have a lot of extra time. Until recently I had only used it for music from artists I like. I find that there are many obscure songs & or collaborations with other artists that I did not know existed. Also a couple of times I watched a video of an operation on a newer vehicle that I had not performed yet.

Since we had the big storm Sunday & with the recommendations of a few here I watch a couple from Paul & Tina...I enjoyed them very much.

One thing I have learned about YouTube is that some turn off the comment section immediately when the video is posted. I will not watch these as they are generally of low quality. I figure they either have something to hide or have a fragile ego & are afraid someone smarter than them will comment!

God Bless
Bill

I enjoy Frey’s Model A adventures. His driving videos shows some beautiful scenery and good commentary. I couldn’t post a link to his site, since I’ve got less that 10 posts, but I’m sure it is easy to find with a search in YouTube.

You Tube Comments

As a long time YouTube channel owner,
when you upload a video you can choose
if it is suitable for children as well as
for the public or private views only.

If you choose “ suitable for children “
comments are automatically disabled
by YouTube.

YouTube places ads in videos once
your channel reaches a threshold
of success, you can monetize your
channel if you want, I have never
personally profited from the videos
I have posted on YouTube, Instagram,
Facebook and “ X “.

Some of my popular videos have been
pirated and re-broadcast by other sources.

My latest video is here …

just search Model A or Model T and variations will show up on their own.... Model A snowmobiles, Model A hill climb, Model A tours, Model A desert off-road, there are all sorts of videos out there.

The technical videos from P.S. are really good (still waiting on that shock rebuild video)

I recently found George Bell’s transmission videos and I’m looking forward to diving more into his content.

And most importantly, Bahco makes the best adjustable wrench, hands down!

Not a youtube channel, but we have been watching "The Rise and Fall of The Rust Belt".
On SBS catchup here.
Seems to be also on PBS at times, and Prime.
