Finally found a 34 Roadster 2 Attachment(s)
Thank you so much to Steve C in SoCal, yeah the guy with the Jersey accent, to call me and tell me about this 34 Roadster that was for sale. I’ve been looking for so long, Now I finally got one to keep and it’s a really really great car.
My two year old granddaughter Cleo pretty much is the only one in the family that gets it. She comes over every time and says I want to see grandpa‘s car grandpa‘s car! Helps me work on the detailing with the microfiber cloth, make sure the horn works, and that it is in neutral, wiper motor working, and anything else she can get her hands on. Car was a 2009 AACA Senior winner so I will be calling into them to get more information, I believe it came out of Arizona and it was restored at that time. Drives like day one out of the factory, super detailed inside and out. Have some tinkering to do here and there, but mainly just drive it. |

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster 2 Attachment(s)
This is definitely a bittersweet moment for Cleo and I. John Jr. got a job at the US Embassy in Tunisia, and they leave for two years on the 22nd. BUT, I have a Hot Wheels of a ‘34 Coupe and Roadster to put in her suitcase.
Please pile on with Granddaughter stories here… |

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster Digger, I know just where your at. I wanted a 55 T bird since I was in grade school. On my 57th birthday I decided it was time and a few months later was driving mine home from Arkansas to Olympia. My two year old grandson spent so many hours in it cruising the shop while I tinkered that we came to call the bird the playpen. I hope you have as many fond memories of your 34 as I do of my bird. It's a beautiful car. And thank your son for his service. Tim.

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster Lucky you Digger. I love ’34 roadsters and have owned two of them. I was born in 1934 and that adds to my love of them. I bought the first one in 1954 and sold it after I got out of the army in 1959. I got married then and needed the money. I bought the second one in 1996 and still own it.

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster 3 Attachment(s)
Some photos from last night driving through pebble Beach, this car is like a day it was made, drives like butter, although I was unable to re-buy one from Rhett’s collection, I’m glad I ran into this one, and a photo of prepping to drive to our local cars and coffee this morning with the three window

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster I'm an old ford truck guy... I have been in this early V8 dreamworld for well over 30 years but never owned an early V8 car, just trucks. But I gotta sit here on my couch banging on my laptop keys and tell you that is truly the most beautiful automobile I have ever laid my eyes on. End of rant :)

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster I really like the blackwall tires (on stock wheels) on the car. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster 1 Attachment(s)
In about a month or so I’m going to be changing out to five stock powder coated rims, so I’ll resend photos when I get that project completed, just to have a different look and options.
The glove box clock I’ve had for many years, just waiting for the right car to put it into. Had it mounted on the correct glove box door with my Woodgraining on it, now I have to pull the dash and match it up |
Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster The lines on 33 and 34 Fords are beautiful when stock. Thank you for not dropping it and installing later wheels.

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster The 34 Ford Roadster is the most beautiful vehicle ever made. Bar none.

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster The 34 Ford Roadster is the most beautiful vehicle ever made. Bar none.
I cannot agree with this....beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whilst a 34 Ford roadster is a very pretty car, I do not think any one particular vehicle can be described as the world's most beautiful car made. That is only your OPINION Lawson. |

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster John,Is it possible to have the GB door wood grain matched to the dash instead of pulling the dash?
|
Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster Actually, Digger, both your Roadster and your coupe are knock outs!!! You do have great taste in Fords!!!
|
Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster 1 Attachment(s)
Hello Deuce Lover, I like to do my own Woodgraining, and had already done the glove box door and the ashtray radio, and by doing the roadster dash in my same pattern, I can interchange the glove box from standard door to glove box clock, to glovebox radio, and also with the ashtray can do standard ashtray or ashtray radio back-and-forth from the Coupe to the Roadster, and whichever one doesn’t have the glove box clock would get the Sandoz back wind clock in the mirror

Re: Finally found a 34 Roadster Fantastic. Looks great. Just like Henry did it.
