Wow I thought I was going to be embarrassing young but I was born in 61 and I see that is on the average, but I quit aging at mentally at 12 that is when I still played with Legos and discovered my dad's playboys,.

1950 Came home in a 1949 Ford Convertible from the hospital. The car is gone but I still have the motor out of it....

1963 - prewar interest since I was around 13 - 14, started to subscribe to Hemmings Motor News at 14 after seeing an issue at a friends house whose dad was a collector. I have always preferred prewar cars and euro sports cars to muscle stuff that seems to be most popular with my age group.

FWIW I am less convinced "no" younger people are interested in these cars as my experience recently seems to show otherwise. :) Cars in general were a mainstream interest when I was a teen; much less so nowadays but certainly not unheard of.

I was born in 1931 the same year as my Roadster. Always wanted one as a kid - now I can afford one.

Born 1945 and Model A's and Austin 7's were our normal transport as teenagers.
New Zealand had a policy that made the purchase of new cars difficult and so old cars were well maintained and kept their value (a bit like Cuba but not as bad)
Overseas visitors were known to say it was a bit like stepping back into the past, combined with no Sunday shopping and pubs closing at 6:00, it all seems a little quaint in retrospect
