Re: Hello New to Forum What a great looking car! Welcome to the forum. I learn something every time I visit.
|
Re: Hello New to Forum Thanks. Your car too is really a looker. I Love coupes.
|
Re: Hello New to Forum Thank you, but truthfully, the picture is better than the car. It is really a driven, borderline beater! But I love it.

Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome to the best A site ever. What you can't find out about your A on here you don't need to know. The resident experts are only too happy to help !

Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome welcome!!! Don't worry about also owning a Corvette. You'd be surprised how many A owners here have a token Chevy product in their garage to keep their A company.
I have a Vette also although it's just a bit older than yours. (1962) Actually my A's are easier to drive and get a lot more attention putting around town. Your Roadster is CUTE...... |
Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome. Good lookin roadster. I hope you drive her a lot. Doers she have a name?
|
Re: Hello New to Forum Nice car and I do like the whitewalls..
|
Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome to the "Barn". I am fairly new here as well, but learn more each time I visit or ask a question. My garage mate for the 31 sport coupe is 55 Chevy Bel Air .

Re: Hello New to Forum at one time there was a very nice car show in Smithfield in the summer. I think the name of the guy that ran it was Lombardi, a very nice person. They were trying to attract all types of old cars, not just the trailer queens but the drivers as well. Check it out. I cannot recall exactly where it was but it was a rural setting.
good luck with the car and we'll all help out as much as we can! |
Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome! I live in North Kingstown and work just around the corner in Lincoln.

Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome!!

Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome! If Gatsby drove an A it would have been just like yours! I also have a Chev confession to make - my '28 phaeton shared a garage with a '27 Chev for a while. Neither appeared to be harmed by the experience, although there are some here who will tell you that the rust can jump across.

Re: Hello New to Forum Welcome, interesting color scheme. Can't say I've seen that one before. I like it.
|
Re: Hello New to Forum another show you and Sparky would enjoy is Mystic seaport in September, usually 3rd weekend, if they still have it.
The mandated museum cutoff is 1929, so only the '28-'29 Model As would qualify. Very nice venue. We used to go all the time. |

We also are A and Corvette lovers; we have two of each, plus an assortment of other cars in various states of disrepair. |
Re: Hello New to Forum Hmmmmm, caboose, did the Dallas Model A club visit you a couple yrs ago? Fascinating setup you have. Loved the animals too
|
Re: Hello New to Forum Yes indeed, and I have pictures that prove it
What vehicle did you arrive in? We just bought a house in Sulphur Springs, so now we are much closer to the farm. Stop by for a hot dog at our new digs. |

Re: Hello New to Forum My 29 roadster shares a garage with a 58 MGA. I don't know which one taught the other to leak oil but they both leave their mark.
