|
Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Really nice looking car and welcome to the barn. Am I seeing things or is the exhaust gasket broken right in front of the manifold?
Mike |
Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Great looking car. Welcome to Fordbarn. Have you warmed up there in WI?
|
Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan I think what 1930artdecco is seeing with that gasket is correct. Advisable to use a copper two piece gasket. Welcome to the Fordbarn

Welcome, I love the 28's here is my phaeton a May 1928. Look forward to seeing you and your Model A on the Model A highway soon!
|
Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan That's a great looking Tudor and one of my favorites. It's the same as my first A, but your's is much nicer. You are lucky to have one already done and even luckier to get one at such a young age. Looks like the rear lamp is painted black. A&L sells a nice nickel cover. I bought 2 from them years ago for my 28 and early 29 Tudor.

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan I need a head liner, are they pretty easy to replace?

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Welcome Shane.
Your Tudor looks in great shape. My advice would be to drive it, drive it, drive it. Enjoy. Dean |

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Very nice looking car, you have good taste.

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan SHANE .....................
Don't let anyone bug you about your white wall tires. There are a few, on here, who are definately against white walls, on an "A" Model. You will hear from them. Just ignore the jibber-jabber. MIKE :) (mikeburch) |

Spring - all three days of it - is not far off now. Nice ride. I hope you're not too young to remember the Midas Muffler commercials. With "Mr. Purdy" - the richest man (miser) in town. http://www.skidmore.edu/~pdwyer/e/eoc/mr_macgready.gif Above is actor John Hoyt and his Model A in the Midas Muffler Commercial. He's the one who after getting his free replacement said "How do you think the richest man in town STAYS the richest man in town." My kind of Model A owner. "See ya round boy(s)..." All part of the cachet of owning a Model A. Joe K |
Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Welcome, very nice Tudor!

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Took it out for a spin last night with my wingman. My son Justis is 10 and is loving the new car.

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan you are so lucky to be able to drive your and with your wingman to boot. Mine is still up on jacks right now for brake work. But I hope to get her off of them this weekend.

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Great photo with your son. Believe me he will remember these times with the car for the rest of his life. This is the reason I have a Model A today. Nice car and enjoy!!

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Welcome to the Ford barn Shane, nice A , think spring just like we all are up here !!!!!!

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Just an update for you guys.....I have put almost 3,000 miles on "Edna" since the snow melted. Work, kids to school, grocery store and the endless Sunday cruise.
I am truly in love with this car. It runs like a champ and generates smiles everywhere we go. My wife loves it, my son loves it.....it's part of the family. http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...pshhdeazu6.jpg |
Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan That is excellent !!!! nice addition to the family

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Very sharp car...

Re: Shane's 1928 Sedan Shane,
Nice car. I just did the complete interior in my Tudor. The headliner is pretty easy however you will have to remove the headers all around the top of the car to replace it. The headliner is tacked under the headers and when you replace the headers it tightens the headliner. I would recommend ordering the headliner from Lebaron Boney. When you order it they will send you a measurement strip. You will have to take out the old liner first to mark the bows on the strip for them. This Board is invaluable. These guys that give you answers really know what they are talking about. Joe |
