Barn Find is... |
Re: 32 Roadster in France I wonder what make of carburettor is fitted onto that 1932 engine, it looks as if it bolts straight onto the 32 manifold.
|
Re: 32 Roadster in France That's the second one Ive heard about in France, there is one that was for sale in Spain a few months age( expensive) and there is /was,not sure of it sold or not, a stock as a rock 32 roadster on the South coast of England that I tried to buy a while ago.
That looks like a really nice example......would have made my holiday for sure.Have you got some kind of radar for these things lol.? |

Re: 32 Roadster in France It is amazing that the original fuel pump type is still being run. That car would make a good study for the EV8 club, sort of like the Rip Van Winkle model T touring that was found a few years ago and detailed in a series of pictures, a car that was put up in a shed when new.

Re: 32 Roadster in France There's a better '32 roadster for that purpose on Long Island, New York. It still has the original top, upholstery, and paint and is the subject of a forthcoming article in "The V-8 Times".

Re: 32 Roadster in France I'm far from a '32 guy, but did the stock '32 speedometer really go up to 140 mph? Hard to believe..........

Re: 32 Roadster in France France is in Kilometers.....90 mph x 1.62 = 145.8 kph......the US was supposed to convert to the metric system over 30 years ago....Canada beat them to the punch and did it first...then the US never followed up. For us older guys in Canada, we are still in the MPH mode. Robert

Re: 32 Roadster in France Its in Kilomoters, not mph
|
Re: 32 Roadster in France Probably kilometers - 100 kilometers = 62 mph.

Re: 32 Roadster in France A real export Deuce, Made in France, with special hood model a look alike side panel.
It should have a Ford France Asnières VIN tag on firewall. There is few sedan with suicide doors for sale not roadster are pretty rare! |

Re: 32 Roadster in France The owner seems to keep on top of maintenance, all the hoses and clips look new. The carb appears to be a much more modern adaption. pretty nice car, it has to be said.

Re: 32 Roadster in France That's a fine looking '32 Roadster. Hemmings Classic Car magazine March 2010 issue has what they call the "Worlds most Authentic" 32 Ford Roadster featured.
|
Re: 32 Roadster in France I think a 1932 Roadster is tops. They started the Roadeter craze and it is still going strong.
