One of my favorite smells was going into the machine shed on my grandfather's farm, and smelling the oils and grease in the tool room. It was such a neat smell and can rarely be found anymore. I know it can't be found on the old family farm because the new owner's burned every building to the ground so they could plant another 4 acres of crops.:mad:

On the subject of pouring oil from a quart container, does anyone know the right way to pour from these plastic bottles? :confused:

Looking at the picture, would you tip it to the left or tip it to the right?

Somebody just emailed me and told me that the odd shaped funnel on the left in my picture was for gallon cans.I just held an old rectangular can over it,sure enough it fit.I never knew why the funnel was shaped that way until now.I still have some Sears Roebuck oil in those gallon cans.One of them is in my picture.Blue and white can..

Yep, many years ago someone corrected me on the right way to pour it, and I found it was so much cleaner and easier when you do it the right way. :)
