Cool Hand Lurker - Cell phones are not affected by magnets.
The things that are erased by magnets use some kind of magnetic memory device like magnetic tape, magnetic hard drive, magnetic floppy or 3.5” disks, etc. I don’t know what the heck cell phones use. I imagine little tiny guys with little tiny chalk boards.

Good to know. At 85 it is easy to bring back the old technology from memory. But I am glad to see that the tiny little guys are finally getting good jobs!
But where can they buy tiny little chalk sticks?

New little tiny pieces of chalk come in when you recharge the battery. Actually, the battery is really a team of little tiny Clydesdales pulling the electrons along. Feel free to ask more questions about modern technology.
