You will get more miles from a hard compound which doesn't grip as well. Less from a soft compound which sticks to the road. |

Re: American Classic Radial Tires I got about 24k on a set of Coker Classic Radials on my 31 Town Sedan. I was running them at about 32 psi for the first 8k when I experienced some tube issues on the rear drivers side…flats. The tubes were scuffing in the tire. I increased the pressure to 35 psi and had one more flat. I increased the pressure to 38 psi and had no further issues during the last 12k miles of tire life. The car handling in high cross winds has greatly improved with the pressure at 38 psi.
