According Einsteins theory of relativity the speed of light is constant in any inertial system. So the driver will see the light travel at the speed of light, so will any observer on the airstrip. :eek:

Is it something we can intuitively understand or relate to? No! But our experience may also be misleading us here - afterall, how many of us have traveled at anything resembling the speed of light? :p


Perhaps Elon Musk could try it out with his orbiting Tesla? :D
