Hello, thanks for the update,mine also leaks when full,will have to check and see if it is a repro too, another project if it ever gets warm again.

I had the same problem with a new gas gauge kit from the most advertised (not mentioning names) ModeL A vendor. I resorted to using the old ring and have not
had any problems. I suspect that the problem was "Made in China"! Gary D
