- My first car purchase, was on my 16th birthday while coming home from the DMV with my new license, a 1960 Ford F-100. Three months later I bought my second car, a 1969 MGB-GT. The two constants in my love of automobiles has been British cars and old Ford trucks (with Y-Block V8s), what a combination. I also hold a private pilot certificate and have logged over 1500 hours of flying time, 400 in tail wheel, in the two airplanes I have owned and any others I could get my hands on.
