- I'm a retired commercial painter with a fine arts degree from a local university who returned to his old car passion; mainly hot rodding, as I approached retirement ags.So, for the past 26 years I've been collecting pre '70's vintage tin. Now I have a retirement biz I call VAVAVOOM GARAGE.com and sell parts and project vehicles to whomever. I'm a true auto addict who still finds and purchases all makes and models of cars and light trucks and all kinds of parts much to my partners dismay. At 67 she feels I should just sell stuff but I'm a real pirate; that is, a treasure hunter. But without folx like me the hobby might surely die a quicker death. In fact , I call my stuff "dead metal" and hope people out there will bring this stuff back to life whether they're hot rodders, customisers or restorers.I consider myself a recycler and also an environmentalist. I've invested a lot of time and energy; not just money in my collection, and hope folx appreciate this if they intend to make a purch
