- I've been an old car fanatic all of my life. I got it from my dad, who always had at least one cool old car around the house. My latest "flame" is my '55 Ford Customline that my best friend finally sold to me after 25 years of begging! Most people name their cars after a woman. I broke tradition and call mine "Freddie" or "Freddie the Fifty Five Ford". Sorta has a nice ring to it. I'm not interested in turning Freddie into a show car, just a good dependable, and most importantly, FUN driver. We've got a little ways to go, but we're almost there. My wife likes Freddie because she can sit next to me in the front seat like she did when we were teenagers!
