Years ago, I bought strips from the company, who was reproducing the racks. I don't remember the details, but they are being reproduced.

Roger-

I have never done this but this might work until the correct strips are found. Try using 3/8" or 1/2" chrome body moulding strips. They are flexible, cheap and have a self-stick back. Some kits include spear ends.

Granted, this probably falls into the category of a "backwoods repair" but it might be better than nothing or at least until the right strips are found!

I don't know if 1935 luggage rack strips are close to the width of 1937 Ford ones but mayby this would work for 35 as my 37 did. I discovered that the 37 strips were the same or close to the width of the 1936 hood side mouldings and used those. Steve Grace in Mass straightens out and polishes stainless steel, he shortened my 36 hood mouldings and formed the spear ends, only had to do one end each strip as spear ends are exactly as they should be. Mayby would work for 35 luggage rack also.

35-36 luggage rack stainless looks like the same as for a 34 (at least in Bob Drake's catalog). The 34 stainless is in the Early Ford V-8 Sales (SC) catalog.
