Door latch

HELP, How to take out a door latch on a 1931 four door slant windshield. i have the latch loose and handing down but can't get it out. This latch has the spring loaded part on the outside of the door. i removed the 3 screws at the latch and 3 screws at the inside door handle with still no success. Do i have to take the glass mechanism out to get this assembly out. Thanks for any help.
