Default Got some bambalino blue on the 36 today

Got some bambalino blue on the 36 firewall today before dropping the body back on for the 3rd or 4th time. Firewall had lots of extra holes in it when I started, at least two different heaters had been in there I suspect. Nice to have a lift.

I have seen some very small traces of dark green under the tan paint I've been removing for the repaint. Most woodies came cordoba tan? Did some come other colors?

TCPGlobal seems to list bambalino blue for 36:

The 35-36 Early Ford V/8 Club book shows Bambalino Blue was for Deluxe cars only and was an Easter color offered in April of 1936 and discontinued in May of 1936. Ed

I saw that in the 36 book. I wanted a 36 color that was kind of loud. Cordoba tan seemed too bland for me. I believe my woodie is a deluxe as it has the woodgrained dash.

That color will definitely stand out. I'm hoping to see your car around Houston when you get it done!

Looking good! Why worry about being correct for 36'? That engine isn't correct for 1936. I like the color, if you like the color go for it! Hey isn't Easter this Sunday?

Bambalina blue is one of the best looking colors on the 36 which was an Easter color in 36. Attached is my 36 Bambalina blue roadster which receive best of show in some of the best shows over big Packards and other high priced cars. I guess they felt sorry for the poor little 36. G.M.

The color on the firewall of the SW and the blue on G.M.'s roadster look a lot different, maybe it's my computer but which one seems more original?

BarnJunk the picture I posted looks greener than the actual car which has a bluish tint. Or is it blue with a greenish tint?? It's a differant color with a pleasant look. G.M.

You can't tell from photos. It depends on the sun, Sometimes, my phaeton looks black, but it's actually a dark blue. It's all different colors in different photos.

I'm a modifier at heart but like to stick to year model colors because I like the original look. I've got a 37 engine with crab distributor, disc front brakes, 40 wheels, and Mitchell overdrive. Similar story with my newly painted rose beige 29 roadster.
